#MUSICMONDAY PLAYLIST – AMELIA’S PICKS 3/27/17

Happy Monday! I am starting off this gorgeous, spring week in Richmond, VA with a playlist I lined up with some of my favorite songs from: Tigers Jaw, Real Friends and Tiny Moving Parts who will be gracing The Broadberry stage in the next few months. Enjoy this playlist while driving down your favorite street with your sunroof open, painting in your studio or having an outdoor BBQ leading up to their show dates. Getting excited yet for the season ahead? You know I am.

Tigers Jaw from Scranton, PA just released their album, “Spin” and are headlining their upcoming tour with special guests Saintseneca and Smidley. Tigers Jaw is a band that perfectly blends solid, power pop and rock guitar chords with harmonious male/female vocals. My go-to songs that I can listen to on repeat are: “Test Pattern”, “Smile” and “The Sun”. Check them out at The Broadberry during the second stop on their tour on Monday, May 22nd, 2017!

Real Friends from Tinley Park, Illinois released their second studio album “The Home Inside My Head” in 2016. Their sound melds pop-punk and emo with strong lead vocals from Dan Lambton. Their songs, “Skin Deep”, “Mess” and “Late Nights in My Car” are at the top of my list and at least one of them are on every playlist I create.

Tiny Moving Parts from Benson, Minnesota released their new album, “Celebrate” in 2016. A family trio that resonates with a perfect coffee blend of scream and math rock. My favorite Tiny Moving Parts songs are “Always Focused” from their album, “Pleasant Living” and “Common Cold” from their album “Celebrate”. Real Friends will be going on a 36-date tour and will be joined by Have Mercy and Tiny Moving Parts on May 28th, 2017 at The Broadberry.

We look forward to welcoming all of these bands to The Broadberry and we can’t wait to see you singing along in the crowds.
