Steve Bassett is playing show at The Broadberry in support of his new album Tres Leches, also the name of his band. The show will be on Sunday, April 8 the doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m.

Bassett will be here with his new band from right here in Richmond, Va including: drummer Dusty Simmons, guitarist and engineer Adrian Olsen, and guitarist Russell Lacy. Other musicians include keyboardist Daniel Clarke and bassist Bob Rupe.

The new album gives Bassett’s taste of Soul and R&B. With his long musical history Bassett creates his own version of these genres by pounding on the keyboard and letting loose on gritty vocals. This new record is touching on generations old and new with stories from Richmond today and from the 70’s.

Bassett has played with countless musicians in the five generations he’s been performing as a musician. Between writing songs like ” Sweet Virginia Breeze” and spending time writing jingles throughout the 80’s there is no shortage of what his skills can accomplish.

So come on out to The Broadberry on April 8 for Steve Bassett and The Tres Leches Band along with Richmond’s own Angelica Garcia opening up the show. Tickets will be $10 ADV and $15 DOS.
