We’re teaming up with the folks at Lockn Fest to bring you the BEST of RVA’s raw talent – and giving YOU the ability to send one lucky act to LOCKN FEST 2019!!!

These bands will be performing for a chance to win a spot on the LOCKN 2019 lineup. All those in the audience on Friday will get a chance to VOTE for their FAVORITE ACT of the night, which will be announced at the rise of the show. As a special gift too, voters will be eligible to win a pair of General Admission tickets to Lockn themselves!

Americana Alt Rock

With a commanding voice that floats between the spirits of Chris Stapleton and Thrice, singer/songwriter Landon Elliott delivers earworm melodies and sobering lyrics drawn from his upbringing in small-town North Carolina to his move to Richmond in 2013. His debut LP will be released in early 2019 on American Paradox Records.

Folk Rock

Part Americana, part neo-’70s folk rock, the band draws inspiration from classic artists such as the Flying Burrito Brothers and Bob Dylan as well as more modern groups Wilco and Futurebirds. The band includes a revolving collaboration of some of RVA’s most plugged-in musicians: Stephen Lecky (Farm Vegas), Zach Hudgins (Jackass Flats), Corey Wells (Shack Band), and Stephen Kuester. Their folky, countrified debut EP was recorded with the help of Zach Fichter (The Broadberry) and Jeremy Simmons, and was released in the Summer of 2018. Their latest single, “Call On Me” was recorded at American Paradox and released in December 2018.
