Com Truise @ The Broadberry 11/22/19 – Show Preview

A producer based in Los Angeles, Seth Haley has navigated the cosmic universe of the synth indie music, reviving the era of electronic melodies that were popular in the 80’s.

Haley performs under the spoonerism, Com Truise, and is coming to The Broadberry tonight for an elaborately complex blend of melodic poignancy and energetically uplifting beats. Com Truise synthesizes analog and digital synths to create anthemically dramatic swells of interstellar storytelling, and he does so in a way that is personal and relatable.

Haley redefines the idea that a story must be told with words. He takes his listeners on a journey, reconciling the sensibilities that come with the inevitable stages of a nostalgic longing, deeply-rooted hoping, a crippling anxiety, and the silver-lining triumphancy.

With four albums under his belt, the eminent synthwave, chill vibed producer implements robotic and electronic grooves that reveal an expedition towards transitioning between what is uncertain, to what is unmistakable in our own self-discoveries.

Com Truise comes to Richmond with Altopalo and Beshken for a night filled with “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk.” If you liked Crumb’s chill vibes and mellow beats this past Monday, be sure to check out tonight’s show! Doors open at 8 pm.
